I can see the benefit of a crude editor for fixing typos and the like, which is what this is. I cannot speak to the second use case, which is what all the negative reviews seem to be complaining about. My strategy was to render final notebooks to pdf, for scanning. Before buying this tool, my quick viewer showed the raw json source, which was less than helpful. As a data scientist who does almost everything in Jupyter notebooks, I wanted a quick viewer so that I could scan the rendered contents of a notebook in the file system. This thing covers two use cases - (1) *.ipynb viewer and (2) rough editor.
